I offer 60 minute sessions in any location outside of the gym. Be it a local park or your living room- I will devise a plan for any space where you are comfortable exercising in. I have a range of equipment that I will bring with me to our sessions together and I can cater for all levels of abilities. As we get older, balance and coordination deteriorate. The OTAGO Exercise Program (OEP) was developed and tested by the New Zealand Falls Prevention Research Group in New Zealand to reduce falls in older people. The OEP consists of 17 strength and balance exercises and a walking program, performed three times a week by the older adult in the home, outpatient, or community setting. As a qualified OTAGO Exercise Programme Leader, I can support you to maintain and develop your muscle strength in order to promote and maintain your mobility in later life.
If you have a health condition that you would like to manage through exercise, then therapeutic exercise training is for you. I am a qualified Exercise Referral Instructor and Registered Nurse. I bring my knowledge and skills from both these disciplines to support you in a coaching programme. I have knowledge and understanding of a wide range of conditions and the impact they can have on peoples lives. I will work with you to manage your condition through exercise prescription and lifestyle changes. If I feel that you are living with a condition that is outside my scope of practice, I will be delighted to signpost you to appropriate professionals and organisations who will be able to continue your journey with you.
